How much boost can thse engines handle stock/mildly modified? I see some kits have optional boost levels.

Justins wife from VMP tuning is running 15psi on a vortech kit and shes putting down almost 400rwhp I believe it's 398. It's said to be around 400 they can hold, the motor is only as good as the tune though...

For instance Jenna on the collective is putting down 386rwhp/490rwtq with her turbo set up. Everything on the motor is stock besides her valve springs.

Do the kits comr with a tuner already tuned for them or will I have to find someone that can tune if after installing a supercharger kit?

lol, yes I am. I am also new to the idea of upgrading the V6. I have owned my car for 2 years, pretty much gave up n it even matching the gt then totally gave up when they came out with the 2011s. After seeing what all can be done i think I will get in the game, at least it will end up a fun car to drive. I bought the V6 because the insurance was HALF what it would cost for the GT, and I bought my car in 2008 (its and 07) with only 24,000 miles for $14,900. Used GTs were running $20K, at the time i couldnt afford the car AND the insurance. I am hesitant to put a lot into my car, it currently has 73,000 miles. But it functions perfectly and almost all miles are open road.

I believe they come with a canned tune you're gonna want to get a dyno tune or something like from VMP.

I'm glad I saw this, because I damn sure was going to go with them, since they were the cheapest out of the companies I researched.

And yes, the kits usually come with a tuner with a canned tune which is good to hold you over until you're able to get a dyno tune. Not mandatory, but it's good if you're looking to get the most out of your upgrade.

RPM outlet has a Progharger for a good price, the options are so many I have no clue where to start. Unlike the other box sets this kit you can pick and choose tuner, injectors, PSI, pluges, fuel pump, intercooler, and other odd ans ends. Prce starts at $4,040, but going with other options (such as polish, fuel pump, etc.) can jump it to $5,000, BUT adding parts to the kit is a fraction of the cost of buying them seperately. Guess I need to bump my credit card limit

Again - BEFORE you commit to this check out the ratings on RPM Outlet with the Better Business Bureau and comments on the various forums.
