New Rear Axle Or New Gears and Differential?

New Rear Axle Or New Gears and Differential?
Well, this summer I should be getting a supercharger.
A mechanic recommended getting an 8.8 rear axle (http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang_v6...373_ratio.aspx or http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang_8.....55_ratio.aspx) to handle the extra power from the engine, and to improve torque
But I was wondering if a new differential (http://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-28spline-75-lsd.html) and a new set of gears (http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...s-75-Ford.html) would do the job?
So - basically - is the new rear axle really necessary?

all you need is the flange to make it connect to your v6 driveshaft

8.8 with a 2003 Cobra pinion flange, and use your existing V6 driveshaft w/o issue.
Choice of gears is up to you, but with a supercharger, 373's or even 355's are acceptable. 410's are a little much with a blower.

Go with the 8.8 - bigger, stronger, and will hold up to track use. I tried building up my 7.5 - bent the pinion launching on drag radials before I had the nitrous or the supercharger on it. For what it cost to try building up the 7.5, I would have actually spent less money just going with the 8.8 take off to begin with.
