Default LongTube Header setup

K, I would like to know what setup people are running that have longtube headers installed. H-pipe, x-pipe, mid-pipe mufflers, deletes, custom cats, etc. I have been contemplating this for awhile and mainly have avoided getting them do to the press they get on our 4.0s has having a real crappy exhaust note. Does anyone have solid numbers supporting gains for them as well? I currently have aftermarket shorties (mainly for show and sound improvement w/x-pipe). Thanks for the time.

I ran MAC longtubes with Magnaflow high-flow cats; these were done only to support the Vortech supercharger I had at the time. Straight-through (true-dual) gave me the best sound, but it still didn't sound that good.
As far as gains, if you're looking for big gains for your n/a 4.0L, you'll get only a small gain with longtubes. They looked great, but otherwise, I could have left the stockers on and been within 5-10 hp, with the blower.

...somewhere I've posted pics of my exhaust setup, when I still had the 4.0L in the car..

HAS ANYONE RUN DUALS WITH NO CROSSOVER AT ALL? WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE? SOME RACE SHOPS ARE SAYING THE 4.0 RUNS&SOUNDS BETTER WITHOUT IT.

AFTER 4 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP I AM RELUCTANT TO SPEND ANY MORE MONEY ON MODS AFTER SEEING MINIMAL RETURNS ON DIFFERENT CARS DYNO SHEETS.LOOKS LIKE SUPERCHARGING IS THE ONLY COST EFFECTIVE METHOD OF GETTING DECENT HORSEPOWER. UNLIKE THE 5.0 IN THE FOX THE NEWER CARS SEEM TO BE PRETTY WELL OPTIMISED.MY DIABLOSPORT WAS NOT THAT NOTICEABLE EVEN AFTER BEING TUNED ON A DYNO.ONLY ADDED 12HP WITH THE HOOD CLOSED AND 16 WITH IT OPEN.OTHER THAN GETTING RID OF THE TOP SPEED LIMITER DID NOT SEEM WORTH IT.

The biggest n/a seat of the pants gains I felt was when adding the dual exhaust, and then again with the tune.
And yes, it was using true/separate duals. No crossover. With gt stock mufflers, it sounded decent.
