Default exhaust help

I have a 2010 4.0L V6 and am planning to do the dual exhaust conversion. So I bought a pair of 2011 gt axle backs without realizing that the hangers a slightly different than the 2010 ones. I think I have a few options but am not sure what to do.
1) I can keep these and get 2011 hangers from ford
2) possibly have a muffler shop do custom hangers
3) try to get what I paid for the 2011s and find a set of 2010 take offs

Thanks guys.
Josh

Ask a local shop how much it would cost to make it fit. They can cut the hangers off and weld on new ones. However, 2005 - 2010 should bolt right up with no issues and are usually pretty cheap.

How much can you reasonably get for the 2011 ones?

Like JCON says, a local shop can take care of you.
Just stay away from the nationwide chain shops.
Go to a guy that knows how to weld and has been in business
for a long time and will guarantee his work for a long time.

i think thats what I am going to do. It seems like the parts from ford for the 2011 hangers are pricey, its hard to see exactly what i would need on the diagram they show on fordparts.com anwyay. Thanks for the input.

05-09 GT mufflers are shorter than 2010+ GT mufflers and although they will bolt right up because of the hanger rods attached to the mufflers (2010 is identical location as 05-09) but the 11 has 3 hangers/rods for the mufflers were as the 05-10 has only 2.

An exhaust shop should beable to modify the hanger rods on the muffers to match the hanger locations on your car.

Yeah, that is why I got the 2011 mufflers because i knew the tips would be the proper length but i didn't think about the posts they hang from. I'm just going to find a shop that will fix me up for a good price.

I was thinking about it today and was wondering if the 2011 gt mufflers will sound different than the 2010s.

You will have to post a video when you get them on your car! Im curious too. I like the sound of the 2010 GT mufflers on mine, and the fact that there is no drone, but if the 11's sound better, I will switch.

I would assume that not much changed from '10 to'11 as far as mufflers go but i could be wrong. It probably doesn't make a difference but they came off of a gt/cs, but those should be the same mufflers as a regular gt i think?
They're going on in may after I get home from school. I'll be sure to make a video and post it.
