I would go with these tires: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...%2FPerformance

I'd would try to get a 255 under there but NITTO doesn't make a 255 for 19" from what I found so a 245 will have to do. That is still bigger than stock GT Pirelli's and much larger than the stock V6 tire. Better traction and performance without breaking the bank.

Sweet, thanks.

EDIT: Are the NITTO NT05 245/35/19 the same thing? I kinda wanna buy them all together so they'll mount and balance them. And please keep in mind that i'm getting them in 19x8.

You can't go wide enough IMO on an 8" wheel. 255 is as wide as most tire manufacturers will recommend and some say 245. That's not enough meat.

What are your goals for the car? this will help us determine if you can squeak by with an 8" or if you must get a wider tire.

It's just to drive around in, school and back, out with firends, things like that. What width would you guys suggest? I'll just have to save more, no prob.

EDIT: Would these be a better option? http://www.elementwheels.com/proddet...80mbdr371995mb

And why are these so much more expensive? http://www.elementwheels.com/proddet...1985BM1081995B

Different brand and larger. You will find a large variation in price among brands. For just cruising around, an 8" wheel with 245 is good enough and better than what you have now. If you were to do any type of racing, including street, I would go with something larger, at least in the back, like a 9 or 9.5" for which you should get a 275 tire or larger.

Remember that when you get to around the 19" size you're going to start losing some acceleration. That's a large mass you need to get moving. I would generally recommend, especially for a v6, a 17" or 18".

The other thing most people don't think about is brakes. You want to have a good size brake not only for increased stopping power but so you don't look ridiculous like this guy

For v6's a cheap upgrade for the fronts are GT take offs. about an inch large but fills out a 17" wheel nicely, that's what I have on mine. I've seen a lot of cars around with 22"-24" and not only does it look stupid but it's also bad for performance, both accelerating and braking.

Once you determine your wheels size make sure you get a good set of tires for it. The NITTO 555's seem to be a very popular choice around here for every day driving.

So ive been think about what jcon said about thr acceleration and break size and decided on the niche Circuit staggered 18" set up 8" in the front and 9.5" in the back. Now i stillwant those Nitto tires but what size should i get for the new staggered setup? Thanks.
