CAI differences...
Hey everyone. I've been considering a non-tune cai to replace my stock air box (V6), but then I read that it wouldn't make nearly as much a difference as one that does require a tune. Could I get the same effect from one that doesn't require a tune if I tune it anyways?

A no-tune required CAI with a tune will make decent power but a tune-required CAI will make a bit more. If you're going to get a CAI it makes no sense (to me and a lot of others) to NOT get a custom tune so you may as well do the combo right and get the most power for your money. Mind you, it's only a few minor RWHP but do it right.

Before spending money for a non tune CAI you should just buy an K&N replacement filter for teh stock box. That will give the same upgrade. I have a K&N CAI with a Diablo Preditor tuner and I am very happy with teh combo
