Default Temperature sensors?

Does the 2006 mustang have one or two temperature sensors for the thermostat housing?

It should only have one. Mine does and i'm pretty sure there's no difference between a '06 and an '07.

Just the one. I have no idea what the second spot is for, but nothing goes in it.

The second spot is for another temperature sensor. The Ranger (or whatever the truck name is that uses the same engine as us) uses 2 temperature sensors. So instead of removing the hole for the Mustang, Ford patched it up.

Makes sense, I figured that it was a part from another application and that Ford just drilled out the one that was needed.
