Question swapping 4.0L for 3.7L v6

Does anyone know if you can swap a 4.0L for a 3.7L V6? would it be compatible? i hear you can swap out for a v8 but it is expensive. So would the newer 3.7L be easier? love the 05-09 model, but the newer engine rocks especially if supercharged! would like to know if anyone has looked into it.

I looked into swapping the new 5.0L into my Mustang and it looked like it was going to pretty extensive. I would think the 3.7L would be just as much of a headache with much less gain.

If you are seriously considering swapping motors look into the 3v 4.6 or 3v or 4v 5.4. With any of these swaps you are going to have to swap out your entire drivertrain including trans and rear end. It can be very expensive.

The best way to do it is to buy a donor car and sell the parts you end up not needing to make back some of your money.

Then if you are not overly attached to your car, save and trade it in.
