Default GForce chip

I just bought one of the chips by GForce, that says I will get more power, better mileage, everything that can go good. It may be Bull Shirt, but I'm gonna try it. My problem is with the connector that plugs into the MAF/IAT sensor, what 2 wires are the IAT, out of the 6 possible, they say to use an ohmmeter, and find between 1000-3000 ohms. Well there are a couple of wires that do that. Then they say if that doesn't work, plug it all back together, turn the key on, and find 2-4 volts,DC. Well I'm not real comfortable piercing into a perfectly good wire. I don't want to make a opening for moisture to get in.
Anyone have a diagram, or @ least know what wires I'm to use.
THANKS AGAIN

Please don't. All that chip does is fake out the PCM. And it's a poor way to add power. A CAI and custom tune will gain you a REAL (not advertised BS) 15-20 RWHP on your 4.0 with little to no impact of fuel mileage.
If you're worried about gas, ride a bike more often.

Chips are for eating. We TUNE our S197's.

How much was the chip?
A majority of the members on this forum have a CAI/tuner with custom tunes. This is the best bang for your buck on the performance side. Good luck!

I paid 75 bucks with shipping. Not bad, if it worked. It don't. Emailed their tech. dept. they sent me a diagram of what I already knew. I wanted to know why the check engine light kept coming on. They don't respond with any answer. I want to send it back, no reply as to how they want me to return it. Local BBB has received a lot of complaints. I want my money back. The company is GF Chips.com. it does not work. BBB suggested I file a claim in small claims court. This product does not work, and you get virtually no support from them.

Hopefully you learned your lesson. Ask here first. We'd have saved you that $75. You get what you pay for and $75 for ANY kind of performance is a major joke.

I just wanted a little better gas mileage. I'm spending $150.00 a week in gas, just going back and forth to work. Not counting my driving for other reasons. I learned the hard way.

Sorry to hear about you getting ripped off. I'm glad I found this forum and have been able to read about what works/doesn't work.

A tune won't improve fuel mileage (at least not enough where you reach a pay back in much under 5-10 years) but does improve performance. Of course, you an ask for an economy tune but I'd be embarassed as little old ladies popped me the bird because I couldn't get out of their way.
