Coolant Temperature Sensor

Default Coolant Temperature Sensor

Hello, I have a 2005 V6 and need to replace the coolant temperature sensor, I am not sure where it is located and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as far as what it takes to replace it.

It's in the thermostat housing. In the valley (V) part of your engine in the front. It's brass with a plastic connector

You will most likely need to remove the thermostat housing in order to replace the new sensor. It was a bit challenging getting the sensor into the slot due to the rubber seal being big. My buddy had to use some force to squeeze it in!
