Default broken maf sensor

Sorry for the double post but im getting kinda nervous waiting for this part. Went the track: My engine turned over and never overheated would run, but not stay on. Long story short, belt ripped apart at 90mph and knocked my radiator hose off and then promptly broke off the pigtail on the maf sensor on my bbk cai. Luckily was able to get a belt same day and installed it. Car would not stay on with out that maf sensor though, and driving it the 100 yards to where our group was, was horrible. If I even eased up on the throttle, the car died. Filled radiator back up with coolant. And after filling it up a couple times, the level is holding. No leaks. Everything intact. Only thing my buddy can think of is that the maf sensor is the only thing wrong, but from reading up on it, the car should still run with out it plugged in. Mine doesnt. It idles low, then shuts off. If I keep on the throttle, it stays on. I have full power on accessories and everything works. Car just wont idle. Any imput to help ease my mind would be tremendous.

I know on my GT when I didn't plug the MAF back in I got the wrench light and she didn't run worth a darn.

It is going to be the MAF... I've forgot to plug it back in and get the wrench light a long with only like 10% power.

Hey guys new issue has arised. Seems like since the car was burning gas and running so rich, ive developed some shudder. I changed my fuel filter about 2 weeks ago before this happened and it seems like thats the issue now with it again. I drove to about half a tank and put in some fuel system cleaner and filled up with premium gas. Should i go ahead and replace the filter again?
