Default To replace struts or Not

Need some advice.

I bought my Daughter a 2006 Base coupe V6 two years ago which now has 95,000 miles . Ever since she's had it every time she goes over a speed bump she hears a thud noise in the front. It also does not have a smooth ride, you feel every little rough spot in the road.

I tested the struts by pushing up and down on the front corners of the car, the car goes right back to normal with no rocking up or down.

I am trying not to spend any money if I can help it, but If I were to replace the struts, probably using Monroe Quick struts since I do not want to mess with the springs would the noise disappear and give her a quieter smoother ride? What would you do as money is a major concern.

Thanks for the help

Greg

Search this forum a bit for struts. I recently read several when I had some thoughts about struts myself. My car is right at the 45K mileage range, and I decided I did not need new struts. There is some very good info here though, a forum search will answer your questions.
