Default Steering wheel shakes under braking

When driving on country roads or highways, goin at about 55-65+ mph, when braking to a stop, my steering wheel shakes side to side really bad, and its quickly shaking. Anyone know what could be happening?

Normally, under braking if there is a shudder in the steering wheel it means the rotors are warped and need to be turned or better yet replaced with new pads.

The person i bought my mustang from changed the front pads before they sold it to me, so should i just get new rotors instead of pads?

That depends on how long those pads have been try to seat to the bad rotors. Pads and rotors should always be changed together IMO. That insures there is no conflict with varying pad compounds breaking in with the rotors.

Do yourself a favor, replace the rotors and go with new pads.

Do them both.

Pads are cheap and rotors are cheap.
