If I were to venture a guess, I'm guessing that it would be off of the Farrah Fawcett special circa 1977

It came off of whatever Mustang it was installed on after it was purchased at the swap meet for $29.95.

This is what an original late 70's, early 80's wheel looked like.

I don't know man. I think that might be an OEM steering wheel.

It looks like a slightly inaccurate copy of a 79 thru 82 Ford wheel but its hard t tell from that angle . the upper spokes on the ford wheel slant downwards but the spokes in your photo do not, however, if you look at the wheel from exactly head on in the center, you could tell for sure.

79 MUSTANG

79 truck

82 mustang

Thanks for the replies. Talked to my cousin about it today and he said that our grandpa wrecked his 79 pace car. We're thinking he pulled the steering wheel off before he scrapped it. The only thing that seems to be be different is the centercap. Which doesn't look like any original centercap i could find.

yes, the pace cars used a different center cap or plastic insert to be more precise . you can buy the caps repo.
