Blindtolive

So I went out and bought myself a set of 4.10 motive gears the whole install went very well till I got to the point where I had to reinstall the carrier pin. Turns out the new 4.10 gears I bought the ring gear is thicker then the stock one and covers the carrier pin hole. So needless to say getting the carrier pin in was next to impossible. Just so I could get the car out of my shop I grinded down a flat spot on the carrier pin so it would all go back together till I can get some ideas on what I should do about this. Has anyone here ever ran into this before?
