Could i cut the ends off my old fuel filter and rig up an adapter with fuel line r to plug into the place of my fuel filter to check fuel pressure with my mechanical gauge?

Year and vehicle? Do you want to just check pressure, or look at it constantly? Either way, it can be a dangerous proposition. To just check, do it at the fuel rail. Keep in mind that EFI fuel pressure is like the water pressure at your faucets: only with gasoline! imp

05 4.0.. Just wanting to know what the pump is putting out. Since i don't have a shrader valve I'm not sure how about going checking it. Trying to rule the pump out before i replace fuel pressure sensor. Getting codes p0172 p0175 and p0193.
