Hi guys,

At 100k miles, I blew right side timing cassette in my 05 v6, and the cost to repair the engine was more than just replacing it with a used one. I managed to get a 100k 2007 4.0 and trans for $300, so I swapped the engine and trans, but now I'm having some issues. The car won't start, unless you hold down the gas pedal otherwise it just dies out. I can't seem to find a solution. Are there incompatibilities between the two engines (i.e., 05 and 07) that I'm overlooking -- sensors, etc.? Hope someone can help.

what about the ECM?

I thought that the wiring connection changed, so double check that

I didn't do anything with that. I just left the one from my 05 in there.

is it possible that could be the issue?

Seems like there was a small change in the electronics from the '05 in the '07.
