Default Got my 4.10`s today

Heres a pic of my FRPP 4.10`s, diablosport tuner, install kit, royal purple, and caliper paint.
Install is on WED. Cant wait!!
Just want to let you guys know that are getting FRPP 4.10`s, If you dont need the bearing kit, dont get the install kit. The gears come with the shims and everything needed to install them except the gasket which is no big deal because you can just use RTV or get a reuseable rubber gasket for $9. The shop thats installing the gears said to send back the install kit cause they wont need it.
Just thought i`d give you guys a little heads up on that. Just have to say, I hope its a good experience.

No, im gonna do it myself. I bought the kit at autozone today. $15. Not a bad price. I got it in black. They also had blue and red.

It's always a good idea to install new bearings. The first few heat cycles with new gears, they get much hotter than usual.

Also, it's cheap insurance and will add less than 30 minutes of install time for an amateur doing the work.

So you don't need anything else for the install? Just the gear package itself (assuming you get the FRPP's)?

That is correct. Unless you have over or close to 60,000 miles, than youll need the master bearing kit. I only have 15,000. Therefore I dont need it. I got everything the installer said I need. I only bought the install kit because I was unaware that the gears came with the shims already. [&:]
