Default Depressurise fuel system??

I am in the process of pulling the tank to swap out the pumps (acutally the pump isn't here yet) and I am trying to depressurise the fuel system.

I took off the plastic cover over the air fitting looking deal on the fuel rail and pressed the button in with a screwdriver and a rag over it.

Nothing really came out, just a tiny bit of gas, and I didn't hear a hiss. The car hasn't been ran for a few days, but is this normal?

I was thinking it should have been a big hiss etc?? Am I good to pull the gas lines?

That's nomal...you don't need it to gush ou or anything. As long as the pressure's out. Ur should be good to drop that tank.

Ive done it by starting the car, then pulling the fuse/relay for the fuel pump while its running to depressurise the system. Then crank it over again after it dies for about 15 seconds. That should do it. Worked for me every time. But you will still get some fuel out of the lines but it wont be pressurized where it will spray all over.

You did it right. Just have a little cup ready, there may be a cups worth of fuel left in the lines, but it won't be pressurized and you won't end up drinking it.
