1997 Cobra or 2000 GT?
I just sold my 2000 GT and want to kick myself for selling it. 1 month later I am in the market for another Mustang. Should I get a 1997 Cobra or a 2000 GT. I know there is a 40 hp difference, I am just curious on your opinion.

hands down 97 cobra, I just bought a 99 gt wish I did more mustang homework before the buy. The 96-98 cobras came with a high quality block from italy capable of handeling about any feasible horsepower numbers from a 4.6. A few grand to go with forged internals and that engine will handle upwards of 35 pounds of boost. (of course you'll need to upgrade a few other things to accomidate for the power increase. JMO

Absolutely no question.
97 Cobra....looks better, faster, more potential.

[biased opinion] 97 cobra man, no doubt. I am in love with mine. I just swapped to 4.10's in it less then a month ago and man is it niiiice. And the block is indeed italian steel... feel free to read up on it right here. Teksid cast the block, and the crank was forged in germany. I love my car.. only other '73 and up stangs I would consider trading it for would be the mach 1 or the 03/04 cobra.. or the 00 cobra R [/biased opinion]
