500 rwhp??
Hey everyone i was just wondering if full bolt ons + supercharger will get a 03 gt to or near 500 rwhp. And if not what would? Also what times can u expect in the quarter with that kind of power? sorry this is such a noob question

RE: 500 rwhp??
I dont think an 03GT can take 500rwhp with the stock internals and the stock short block. You would probably I think around 500 to the crank is the most I have seen anyone run on this site with the stock internals.... most people stay at like 460 or less to the crank.. I'm sure someone else on here could tell you more about that though

RE: 500 rwhp??
well IF the motor is built to handle the power (forged internals), the transmission is built to handle it (tko600 or t56 +a new clutch) the fuel system is upgraded (255lph fuel pump and new lines) and a blower is added and tuned for 15psi and you have the full bolt ons...then yeah you can doit. otherwise, you can get around 400whp safely on the stock motor/tranny, but will need a better fuel pump and a good tune.
oh and dont forget about brakes/suspension. 500whp aint gonna be cheap. looking at probably 15 grand in parts alone for a reliable 500whp

RE: 500 rwhp??
You will have to have a fully built car to get to that. For 500hp you will need to upgrade the tranny and suspension and forge your engine to have it reliable. "borrowed time" means that it may work for awhile past what the block was designed to hold but it could fail at any time.
Ex. Man has heart surgery to save him and now he lives on "borrowed time" because his heart could give at any time and he could die.
With a blower and full boltons I would guess that at most you would see about 400-450 hp. After that, you will have major work to do to turn the boost up and have a usable car.
1/4 times vary. At that point, you have to redo the suspension to run well. You could be in low 11s or even better w/ great suspensiona and good driver or much much higher. You will need DRs and brake upgrade, subframe connectors, shocks, struts, rear control arms, etc. to put the power to the ground. If you use the stock suspension, you will not but spin the tires the whole way through.
Ex. past member Jdaniel was running I think low 12s w/ 600+hp in Kenne Bell Cobra because his suspension could not take it. He just spun throught the whole beginning.

Sorry for asking this but what does "borrowed time" mean? And what about 1/4 mile times with 500 rwhp
