Headers, even shorties, do make a difference. The difference in flow, engine revving, and power, is night and day. I installed ceramic shorties.I use shorties because I live in rural America (they don't even deliver mail on my dirt road) and longtubes typically have less ground clearance. ( My '64 Fairlane from HS left it's mark by taking out a hunk of Speed bump in the HS parking lot with my Hedman LT's) I am very happy with the headers, it was well worth the misery of the install. Take a look at a stock manifold and you will wonder how the car breathes at all through the exhaust.
