Default Is the new guy at Town Fair Tire wrong??

I just get the feeling he might be wrong b/c he seems unsure. But he told me that I need 245/45/17 for 17x9s whcih is probably correct, my question is he told me for the back 17x10.5 its the same size????? How does that work? is it just stretched or what?

Actually tim gave more info..maybe you should do the reading. A lot of people are not well informed on tire sizes and therefore giving info with all three numbers rather then just 275 or 315 helps a lot.

yeah well all he would need to do is go to the tire shop tell them he want's 275 front and 315's rear and they will know the rest or he shouldn't go to that tire store ne more.

Might want to tell the manager not to let the new guy put on/sell tires if he thinks he can get a 245 on a 10.5 inch wheel. Hopefully he didn't know you had wider tires in the rear?

I got 245/40/18's on the front 18x9's and 265/35/18's on the back 18x10's.
275's on a 9 inch rim will look too "bubbly" but they might be necessary for the 10.5 inch rims you want.
