Default Hood pins??

I am currently saving up for a 1998 Cobra R 3 1/2 inch cowl hood for my 97 GT...Do you guys think it would look stupid if i was to get the chrome hood pins?? I know its not needed, but I think it would look pretty cool. If so, do you know where I can get some at?? I saw the ones at mustang tuning, but they look too cheesy to me, with the wire connecting it. I dont like that...let me know guys

Actually, as far as looks, it's personal preference if you like them or not. But as far as if they are needed, a lot of performance shops recommend using them on lightweight fiberglass hoods. So I'd say if you like them, get them, if not, leave it be. I am seriously thinkin about putting them on when i get my new hood painted. I'd hate to have the hood come up at 100+mph.

I don't like the look of them. I like more of a clean look personally. However if they are needed or recommended, you might want to get them...

Just don't get the ricer stick-on hood pins!

If you are going to do it, do it!

I worked at Advance Auto Parts and they have a nice set that does not have the long cables, i believe they are made by Mr Gasket. We installed them on our drag car last summer.

Try this site and look at part # 1017 i don't know how to correctly post a link but if that doesn't work its partsamerica.com (advance auto parts) then search for hood pins, they have a few other also. See what you think
