thats probably what I'll end up doing...just going to my local Advance Auto Parts Store and buying the ones without the cable, so that way no shipping charges. I hope it looks good...Once i get it done I'll post up some pics for you guys!! thanks everybody

i think hood pins make the car look mean as hell. All though some ricers try to be cool and put them on their car and then it looks wierd... Shelby put it on eleanor and wow....

well i didnt have them on my hood and it blew appart going down the road. deff a good idea to get them with a fibergalss hood. the string things are called lanyards(sp?) and the have a plastic coat on them so it wont really scrach your paint. even if you get a kit with the lanyards you could just take them off if you didnt like them.

LMAO!!! Carroll Shelby did NOTHING with Elenor except sell the builder the rights to use his name. Shelby put them on the REAL Shelby Amerinam Mustangs made between 1965 and 1968, and used another style in 1969-70 (OK, so Ford really made the 1968-70's)

I think hood pins would look sweet on any color car besides white. I agree with the earlier post though, I dont know if chrome hood pins would be a good idea because they would probably rust over time. Stainless steel would be the way to go! Just don't get the kind with the lanyards!! [:'(]
