Default Speedometer

Guys-

I guess i have gears. I bought the car pre-owned so im not sure. Its a 99 Gt auto and the other day i was driving on the freeway at the floe of traffic which i estimate to be approx. 75 but yet my speedometer said that i was going 90-95 yeh right. Anyone know what i should do to correct this.

Thanks,

You have to get a tuner.. Plus you have to know what gear ratio is installed.

SCT X-CAL 2. But if you don't want to spend the $380 then a SpeedCal will do just fine correcting your speedo...

I would try mustangtuning.com, not sure if they have any, but I would check.

It will NOT work on 99+ AUTOS... they HAVE to use a tuner.
So if your car is a manual, you will be fine.

My speedo was very close to that, I programed my speedo for 4.10 gears and now it's fine.

if you tune your car would you still need the speedcal to fix it or would that stuff be fixed in the tuning?

Get a tuner and you`ll be fine. It will fix your speedo and do alot more. Click this link and read what a tuner will do for you. http://mustangtuning.com/diablosport...-mustangs.html
