I have a 96 gt convertible and I was wondering if the SCT Xcalibrator 2 does the things it claims, 15-20 hp increase, better gas milege, 18-22 ft/lbs tourqe and more?

NEVER trust advertisers claims... They make power, but I do not believe that much...

If you had a bunch of bolt ons and you advanced the timing all the way you might get 10hp if it is a good tune (such as a timmy tune)

With the tune they send I would agree. However, Mustangs run pig rich, so adjusting the A/F and adjusting the timing will easily give you 15HP and improve the gas mileage. Which has been dyno proven. If you have any mods, you can realistically expect 15-20HP Gains.

does the tune they give you still make it run rich? i really like the gas mileage benifits of this and pulleys

I think that is one of the main things it fixes. So no, the tune shouldn't make you run rich anymore.
