As some of you may know I just recently put a new intake on my car. Today I noticed that the idle will go from about 1000 to Oh maybe 500 and go up and down twice, then go to 800 were its suppose to be and then will idle perfect, the car runs awsome. So im thinking that maybe its the IAC. What do you guys think?

It's probably the IAC, i'd check that first, but also be sure to check and make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks or anything

Could be. [&:] Take it off and clean it up with some carb/injector cleaner and see what happens.

check how far your air filter is on! if its one to far it might do that too.

I didnt remove the filter from the pipe. I just disconnected the upper half of my intake pipe. (bbk) But if its on to far, how would that make it idle funny like that?

After I was all done with my intake system, the car would idle real high for 20-25 seoncds then settle down to normal....never posed me any problems.
