Default What Type Headers

Thinking of getting headers installed, should I go with shorties, mids or LT's. 02 GT Vert, I heard the LT's were a B!@#$ to get on, any advice. Thanks....TC

LoL, no matter what type of headers you go with, they are ALL going to be a bitch to get on, theres no question about that.

So with that being said, just get the long tubes. You are not going to see the same types of gains from shorty, or mid-length headers... Long Tubes are going to give you the most gains. Studies have been shown that LT's are producing 18 rwhp ALONE, not to mention with a full exhaust and intake, etc. A lot of people on here will tell you not to waste your time or money with shorties or mid-length, and I would agree because if I am going to spend my money, I am going to get it done correctly the first time.
Don't get me wrong though, any after market headers are better than that stock manifold crap that comes with our cars.

Hey,

Great question, a lot of people run into same dilemma when wanting headers.

Like most people on this thread, I would personally go with long tubes. They will be a big pain to install and can certainly take a long time, however the price is certainly worth the benefits.

Shorty headers are also going to be quite difficult to install and also will be time consuming. These are certainly an improvement over stock, but the power and sound gains are just not the same as long tubes.

If you can afford it, go with the long tubes, they are honestly one of the better mods for your buck! I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to get back in touch. Good luck!
