The fan light on the dashboard comes on intermitently. The coolant level is fine. The car never overheats.

Any suggestions?

Does it come on when you are going up or down a hill?

Could be the sensor going, or it could be that you are low on coolant. Did you look at your cold fill level to see where exactly you are?

The sensors are known for slowly dying.

Like Shambles said, it's time to check the coolant levels. Also, don't fart around with this issue, your car can overheat and do expensive damage in a matter of minutes.

Yup. Mine in my Cobra comes on and off, but I just filled the damn thing up. I know its more my sensor than anything else, but I still keep tabs on my fill level either way .
