Tech Question
I own a stock 99 GT coup with 60k. At times, while the vechile is in motion and the lights are on, a rapid beeping happens and the wippers turn on for no reason. I think it's a ground issue but could it be a bad relay? Are both items controlled by a computer chip and if so, would a programmer reset work? Before I pay someone to look at it, I would like to know what the causing it to happen. Some times everything is working with out an issues. All the fuses appear in working order.
I thought maybe the door switch was bad but that wouldn't make the wippers come on and off for no reason. I also turned off the traction Control and it didn't make a difference. I am greatfull for any help and no I'm not selling the car.
Thank you

A switch like an electronic switch or a on/off ****? The lights have there own ****. The wippers do share the brights but I never use them and the turn signals work fine. The Auto shop guys had ideas but want cash just for looking around. I was hoping to find where the problem is before taking it to get it fix. I don't want to be jerked around by some mechanic who want to dismantle my car to only find out its a switch. It also seems a bit odd that I'm the only mustang owner to have these issues.
when he hit his blinker the wipers would come on and even squort washer fluid on the windo. My 00GT does it to. but it does not make a beeping sound. my GT's done it like 3 time in the last 6 years I have had it.
