cobra engine assembly

RE: cobra engine assembly
If you get lucky you can find them on e-bay with a t-56, wiring harness, exhaust, fuel tank, blower and intercooler. But I've seen that go for as much as $10,000+. Which would be cool but is a lot of money.

RE: cobra engine assembly
thanks guys, pretty good prices too. I was originally thinking of building up my 99 gt with a dart long block and twin turbo or SC, with a goal right around 800-1000rwhp. Getting a parts list together I figured for the whole car project, engine, suspension, etc. I'd be dropping a little under 20k. However two of my good friends own a small performance shop and one of them has recently finished a foxbody twin turbo car that is pushing 842rwhp and I was so fortunate to take a ride this past weekend with him. Well 1st gear is useless and in 2nd with 10inch street tires spinning completely sideways seemed pretty damn easy from the get go, into 3rd tires were still spinning and 4th gear was still kicking his ***, even giving gas going into 5th slid the *** of the car side to side. Now this car is in the process of becoming a full-blown drag car, but my buddy wanted to show me that I would not have a streetable car with the hp numbers I wanted. The ride was fun as hell, but scary enough for a change in plans. I'm thinking 700rwhp in a heavy 99 gt vert might be the new goal, and a 03/04 cobra engine could definately handle that. I'd probably get one without the sc if I could and throw on a turbo. I don't know what to do. I got these credit cards that just want maxed out so bad, but I don't know what the hell I want after the ride this weekend.
