Default illegal exhaust?

I just got pulled over tonight, and the cop said that my exhaust was "rattling" her dash and she could have given me a ticket but she had more important things to tend to. I have flowmaster dual chambers with an x-pipe and I wasn't even going that hard on it. Aren't all flowmaster mufflers street legal?

She was just being a BIATCH. Your area might have a noise ordinance, therefor she "could" issue you a citation. If she had better things to tend to, why the hell did she bother pulling you over?

In the state of CA, technically, you aren't allowed to modify/amplfy your exhaust at all.

Judging by your sig you have an o/r X pipe.

Why would you even think it was the flows.

His sig doesn't specify o/r or catted x pipe, besides, he said the cop was complaining about the decible level, not any emissions problems.

I can't imagine even an O/R X with flowmasters being THAT much louder than stock.....

flows are pretty quiet, they just give a nice tone.... and the o/r midpipe is prolly what did it. No cats is a lot of less noise reduction.

that cop just had no time on her hands, like all the f***ing cops in my town!!!
