you think a cam would only give him 30? I thought it would be more than that....

I really don't think a cam would get you more then 30-40rwhp. A stage 1 cam at least

I cant imagine getting 30-40rwhp out of a cam. If you could, why does everyone spend so much on parts that give you 1-2hp, or 5hp, or even 10, when they could buy a stage1 cam for 500 or 600 bucks($595 at VT), then spend maybe 500 on install, and call it a day.....40 rwhp for a thousand bucks. That's 25 dollars per HP.

So, you have:

Cams: $1000 for 40hp = $25/hp
CAI: $200 for 5hp = $40/hp
TB/Plenum: $400 for 10hp = $40/hp
UDP: $150 for 5hp = $30/hp
Exhaust: $1200 for 25hp = $48/hp
Tune: $300 for 7-8hp = $37.5/hp

See the trend....? Cams would be the best bang for the buck.... so why wouldn't everyone start there?

like you said 1k grand after install. saving money is hard when you can get power for cheaper. its the same deal with pi swaps in npi cars. its around 2 grand total including install but a full exhaust and install plus a tuner will run you two grand.
500 for lts
500 for lt install
400 catback
250 midpipe
400 tuner
more than a pi swap. yes prices vary and could save you money but this is rough estimations.

NO WAY with those mods is he gonna dyno 280 to the wheels. My guess would be 255-260.
Yeah im leaning towards 250-255 on a dynojet. You are going to be WAYYYYYYYYY disappointed going in there wanting 280-300rwhp. R U gonna be on a dynojet or a mustang dyno? Id say 240-245 on a mustang dyno.

I have a 2000 GT with the following performance mods:

Steeda cold air kit
Accufab 70mm tb/matching intake plenum
Underdrive pullies
long tube headers/matching h-pipe
Bora catback
X-Cal 2 tune with 93 octane

I was thinking maybe 290 to the wheels? Thanks.
Keep dreaming...

Steeda cold air kit - 2
Accufab 70mm tb/matching intake plenum - 6
Underdrive pullies - 5
long tube headers/matching h-pipe - 20
Bora catback - ^
X-Cal 2 tune with 93 octane - 8

41rwhp

Stock 225rwhp

My guess Your dyno numbers today will be about 266

And thats being nice...
