Default 98 GT HELP

Okay guys this is what i'm looking at. I'm possibly buying a 98 GT. It has a racing clutch of some kind in it, because whenever you put the pedal to the floor, it lets out quicker, but its a stiffer clutch, so I'm guessing thats a racing clutch. It has 96k miles on it. And runs really good. It also has flowmaster exhaust.

Questions.

A buddy of mine told me that these stangs were slow.
So i'm debating on it now.

Also the passenger side door right under the glass has a chip in it. Probably like an inch down, and 1/2 inch across. It looks like it may have been repainted, not to big of a deal though. Also the driver side rearview mirror, and then rearview mirror is cracked. Also the back of the trunk, does not have a spare tire, and also does not have the carpet piece on the back of it.

What do you guys think??? I don't have pictures sorry.

get her checked by a mechanic as closing in on 100k may have some leak issues, also run a carfax, if painted on the pass. side may have been wrecked. 98gts are not the fastest stang out there, but they do have a lot of potential and i am a big fan of sn95's so i love the body, esp with a suspension drop and some nice wheels

Doesn't look too shabby. But I'd have it checked out by a mechanic for sure w/ 96k. But w/ the problems you said I'd only give 5,500 or so.... The milage is what's ruining it...

its hard to tell. i have a 98 gt that has 15600 miles and i got it for 11500, amazing condition tho. paint is prime always had it in covered. I mean the 225 hp compared to the 260 is a bitch but still is real fun to drive. Me personaly wudnt get a car that has that many miles on it....**** is bound to happen soon thats just me tho. the car looks nice tho so good luck

Its tempting to pass on it because of little things, but I don't want to spend a whole lot of money either because i'm getting married in june so i'm trying to find a little payment, with a whole lot of car.

And I sell cars, so I know its not easy! lol
