Default URGENT!

well my and my buddy are tryin to change the front breaks in my gt and have run into a problem

we can not get the calipers off for the life of us

does any1 have a write up of how to get the front calipers off?

Glad to see my stuff is of use already.

The caliper mounting bolts are on there very tight and they have a threadlocker. A 15mm socket is a perfect fit. Get yourself a 2 foot breaker bar, get it lined up and on there and smack the end of the breaker bar with a pipe or something heavy to break it loose.

When you put them back on, don't overtighten them, just use some extra threadlocker.

Edit: If you are only changing the pads, you do not need to take the whole caliper off. Pick up a haynes manual for that, I haven't had to change break pads (new kits came with all new pads already on the calipers)

all you need is a 16 mm open end wrench and and a 13 mm socket

there is a round looking piece between the caliper and caliper backet that the bolts go in to there is two flat spots on those round pieces used the 16mm wrench on them and then use the socket to remove the calipers btw do this on the car it will be easier.

well we got it off and the new pads on, but now we took the spring off to put the eibach spring on, and

we can not get that spring back in there for the life of us at ALL

its about the same size as the stock spring and has no room to work with at all

daylight is running out and my car is at my buddys with no springs in the front!!!

I NEED HELP

we have rented 3 spring compressers, all different and all useless

the springs are smaller then the compressors


can any1 help1!!!!!?!??!?!?!

any1 that has ever installed an eibach pro-kit......HOW THE HELL did you get the springs in there?????????
