break in period for new gears??????

Default break in period for new gears??????
getting 3.73 installed on 25th, is there a break in period. if so what. thanks

about 200 miles I think. Don't be scared to drive it, but don't beat it too death either.

Don't forget to put a good gear oil in there. Have them do it when they do the install. Either buy from them(if they sell it) or bring your own.

they use mobil 1, that should be good i think. i have heard use royal purple. this shop is very reputable, so i would think they know what they are doing. thanks

I would get the Royal purple and give it to them to put in instead of the Mobil 1.

Just my opinion.

don't forget the small bottle of friction modifier....drive the car for a few miles before paying the shop this will help if it whine and you can get it fixed right then

It is used for your clutch packs in your limited slip differential. Keeps the clutches from wearing out to fast and helps them grab better.
