Default 14.0's ??????

I took the car to the track for the first time this week and was kinda dissapointed. I was really hoping to break into the high 13's (around 13.80), but I consistantly ran 14.0X at between 99 and 100 MPH. The car only has 4.10's with the clutches in the posi unit shimmed to double stock and a tuner. I think I'd be running a little quicker with a better tire on the car. She spun a little through first and about half way through second (even granny shifting), then got really sideways into third, and chirped fourth. The trap speed seems high for the et's to me since my old car ran 14.7 at around 90mph. Do I just need tires or is my car really this slow????

Can your borrow some tires to see? I was able to borrow some tires for a couple runs and see if I made better times. The times were better..

And if it helps, I missed third on one run, said screw it and just threw it in fourth to finish the run, and still went 14.45@97.5

You need tires. That 2.1 60' is killing you.

Grab some d/r and your times should fall drastically

Standard rule is .2 for every .1 60', so you could be looking at 13.6 or better. And if you were granny shifting....

Only granny shifted into second, I powershifted thrid and fourth, but I was WAYYYY to sideways going into third to even think about powershifting second.
