Go back and re-read my message and you will see that you need more than just the bracket and scoop. That bracket brings the scoop up to the level that is required for using a Mach1 hood on a GT, which is what I did.
You cannot use the scoop and the bracket and keep your GT hood.

You need to wate a while before applying the vinyl on your new hood. If you do it too soon on new paint it will bubble. I do this work on the side and the gas that is released from the paint will be traped under your decal. If it were me I would hold off at leaset a month in hot weather before installing.
