I race Z28's all the time with the LT's. I have 3.73.. My cousin for instence he has one and we race I leave him by a foot on take off he gets back on the side of me at 40-50 and I pull away as soon as I put it in 3rd..
I love my 3.73's and without alot more power i wouldn't go 4.10's.

How do you even get traction at 1/2 throttle on the street? Hell, I had probs before the blower getting tractoin with the 3.73s, and I can't imaigne the problems 4.10+ would have caused unless I heated my tires before every single race.
If I were to buy a GT and do nothing else but say exhaust and gears/tires, I would go with a 4.10 and be done. Anything more and I was totally happy with my 4.10s.

Obviously, the margin of error is a whole lot smaller with 4.30's over 4.10's. I can't imagine how small that window would be with 4.56's.

I just got a 2003 GT right before New Years, and its just about stock(intake silencer removal and 275s in the back). I'm probably going to do the gears soon, and was just looking for some opinions of people who had gone with 4.10s.

mines a DD. if i were to stay n/a i would get 4.56's. since i have nitrous i am gonna stick with the 4.10s. i only race at the track so im not too worried about top end racing on the highway. 4.10s are great and want me wanting more so i can tell that 3.73s wouldn't cut it for me.

For a supercharger 4.30s are probably a bit to extreme.
For a n/a car 4.30s are pretty decent. I think on the highway driving bout 2400-2500rpm for 200-300 miles would get annoying espically with the flows droning in and out... o god how i hate flowmaster.

I love that flowmaster sound. Real American Muscle sound while you are cruising down the highway, letting everyone know you are coming, letting them all hear a piece of a true American Muscle Car, a part of our heritage. Much better than snap, crackle, pop rice burning garbage.
