Default Mustification Justification

I guess I’ll try and keep this short. In 2k I purchased a 2000GT cuz it was a crazy good price. Thru that summer I recall a number of instances where another “hot rod” or import would pull up to me at the stoplights. I would wind it up a bit only to see the person in the other car shake their head “no”. Or, some comment like, “no way dude your car is to quick”.

Well, things happened and since then and it was my only car back then and we have this nasty thing in Minnesota called “Winter”. I had to sell it and get something more practical, yep I said it.

Within the last couple months I decided to get some sort of sports car again. Thanks to the Corvette being kinda spendy, and imports are just not an option, I went with another 2000GT.

Anyway, thanks to movies like Fast & Furious, I have noticed that 99% of the people now roll the eyes when we meet at a stoplight. Now I hear comments like “nice piece of sh$#”, and “your not even worth my time”… I now find myself asking WTF just happened? Even rusted out POS with just a can on it are wanting to race.

I have also seen a couple posts in the forums that are like… “I beat a xxxxx last night!” But, they seem rare and far between. I fear that Mustangs are not much of a muscle car anymore.

Seriously, WTF happened?

I never really considered a Mustang a "muscle car" with the exception of the Boss or Cobra. The people you are talking about do have the Fast & Furious Mentality.

The nation's youth is now very import inclined. They forget what cars starts the whole trend of modifying cars and street racing. It wasn't the honda civic and the vw golf, it was the mustang and the camaro.

The only thing to do is to ignore these ignorant ****s and just remain a small club of mustang enthusiasts who drive real sports cars (v8, rwd, 2 door) not whiney lawn mowers who can only beat a stock v8 with no interior, countless mods and shifting at 8k RPM.

The only thing this means is that you get to win alot more races against rice. I think I have single handedly changed my own town quite a bit. There used to be alot of rice that wanted to race me, now very few do

BTW, the other problem is that since 2000 everyone seems to be coming out with 300+ horsepower cars. STI, Evo (well almost) vette, GTO, SRT stuff, 03 cobra, etc etc. 260 starts to ilook weak when there are all these 300 and 400 horsepower cars out there.

Get a blower

well, i bought a 95 civic tvec new back in the day, before all this faf ****. It had 125 hp stock. I modded the hella outta that thing, threw tons of $$$ at it, cams, intake, full exhaust, computer, everything but a jackson s/c, couldnt find anyone at the time willing to try to install it, let alone tune it. Anyway, the car was much faster than stock, so of course, i thought i had a fast car. I think that is what is happening with these retards, their car seems faster to them, so its gotta be fast to everyone, right?
Unless everyone of these handjobs has a turbo under their hood instead of an $80 eBay fart can, your car has still retained its ability against their joke of a car. If a ricer does that to me, i tell them they better have alot of money in their bumper car, I mean instead of that stupid a$$ wing and the different color body kit that doesnt fit. Then i get them a steady diet of tail lights and tire smoke, bon apetit!
