Ok I was 90% sure I was gonna buy nitrous, butt my mind changes everyyyy day. I have no idea what I really wanna get for my car, I already have most of the smaller stuff....pulleys, t/a, exhaust, gears, springs, upper/lower control arms, shifter, buttt I'm not sure what the next few things should be. I'm willing to spend around $500-600ish maybeee more who knows (just got a $5 raise!) I need some advice/opinions! I'm still open to nitrous butt exploring diff options...any ideas!!?? btw..03 gt

 

Whatcha think about doing the intake. Get the 85mm C&L MAF kit and the inlet pipe. Right in your price range and you'll gain about 12hp average![8D]

 

I'm not sure.....I was actually reading posts on here and someone was sayin that despite what people think, that the C&L setup isnt really gonna do anything at all! any other ideas??? I'm thinkin about for just puttin equal length shorty headers on...... and maybeee exchanging my offroad H for a o/r X.....any other ideas??

doesnt an 03 have pi heads factory? but your right about the c&l maf...you will gain 0 hp...its a fact...unless you supercharge

 

Vfast: I thought that that was only on the list for pre 99 stangs...
It was my understanding the pi heads are only the newer head style.

ha I wish I had the money to do heads and cams, buttt I only have a a 500-600ish to spend as of right now...soo the other stuff will have to wait

yea I was thinking about cams....however I have zero idea what cams to get, I drive my stang daily, and I race it around town/track every so often, any suggestions/ websites?? what would I be lookin at for hp increase? 20-30?? thanks

 

Any shop that will install cams will tell you which ones are streetable and right for you. I know they are rated A, B, C, D, etc...They will give you a SOTP difference...probably from 20-40 rwhp for normal streetable ones at least. They are not too common on 4.6's, so that drives the cost up a bit. It will change your sound alot too.

A friend from my car club said before getting cams, however, that you should make your intake as best as possible. I forget the reason, but he said it would almost be a waste for the price of cams without the upgraded intake...
