Default Burn outs

Ok I just got my new toy, as you know. With the discovery of the awsome HP and torque this girl has I like to do burn outs....ALOT. Aside from ruining my tires, is there other damage i could be doing to my car, or is it all good because that is what these cars are made for?????

Congrats on the new car! Doing burnouts is only bad for the rear tires. If you are brake torqueing though im sure it is alot of wear on the brakes also. Its your car, have fun with it!

yea, the cars are made to abuse,,

as long as you arent doing quarter mile brake stands, or if its a five speed,, living on the rev limiter, you'll be fine

sure, extra abuse may shorten the life of a car and its components, but its not gonna kill it with like, 20K miles or anything..

just take care of its regularly scheduled maintenence, fix things when they break, and enjoy

if you have a stick and you do it right you really dont hurt the car that much. just the clutch and gears alittle. i like to rev it up to about 2 grand and pop the clutch.

burnouts are yummy indeed....but you immediately shorten the life of of three things: tires, clutch and rear brakes. other than that i don't see any major harm, not for a regular old burnout at least

5400? must be an auto, and if so make sure you are in 1 or 2 and not in D
