Default Removing Valve covers on a 01 GT

Has anyone removed theirs while motor was in the car?

According to directions you must remove fuel rail.......

now that seems odd to me cause there seems to be plenty of room in there to sneak the covers by...

has anyone done this WITHOUT removing fuel rail?

yeah i have. you dont have to move the fuel rail. you just disconnect the electic plugs from the injectors and you can turn the injector so you can get more room with the cover. you have to disconnect all the coils to give you more room.

yeah man just go at it. Usually the best way if no one helps you do it, try it yourself and see what it gets you. If you run into a snag, figure out how to fix it. That's what I usually end up doing. Do you have another vehicle to drive or have no plans in the next day? just incase something comes up.

Anyway good luck!

Nah dont have a 2nd vechicle and not to worried about it....gunna do valve covers and plenum/throttle body all at the same time i just wanted to know..

I work 12 hour shifts and usually have 3-4days off a week so i have plenty of time to do things
