Here ya go bro...
Romeo built engines have 6 bolts and Windsor built engines have 8 bolts.

That being said if the 8th character in the VIN is (X) its a Windsor engine and has an 8 Bolt. If the 8th character in the VIn is a (W) its a Romeo which is a 6 bolt..

This info is directly from Ford Racings website... http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=4749

Good Luck! Jared

Yeah I believe SOHC' s are 6 and cobras are 8 I know I have a 97 and it is 6 I was looking into geting forged internals and go w/ a cobra crank but then I would have needed a new clutch and flywheel for the 8 bolt pattern

Not all 2v's are 6 bolt cranks. In 00-early01 some of the GTs came with an 8 bolt tranny. After that they went back to a 6 bolt tranny. Just go off of the directions in my 1st reply and you shouldnt have any problems. Hope that helps. Jared
