You CAN go upwards of 10,000 miles..but why take chances. 5000-7500 is safer. Mobile1 claims you can go 15000, but I change it every 5000. Royal Purple is the shizzle...I got it in my tranny and dif.

I usually change mine around 4000 miles. Any further and I get nervous. Royal Purple is the bomb!!! I put it on my oatmeal in the morning!!!

Royal Purple rocks! I basically only change my oil twice a year with Royal Purple 5w-30 and a premium filter. Of course I only drive my Mustang about 6,500 miles a year. In answer to your fluids question, 98MustangSTL, check out these stories:

Change it as soon as you can to Royal Purple and you can almost forget changing it again. I am sure the Royal Purple website can answer that question, but it is in the 10's of thousands of miles.
