RE: Stickiest street tire?
hey nanaki,,
i dotn know how firm you are on the mileage issue for treadlife,, but ive got a set of 275/40
Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials....
i think i just saw them on sale for about 160 at a couple places, the traction is up there and beyond the best of them.
i cant be an excellent judge of tread life though,, im sure you want them to give them some beatings..
ive got about 3K on mine now, with one trip to the drags included, and they are showing NO signs of wear right now,, however, ive driven the car ULTRA SUPER Conservatively since i got the tires.... in fact, in the 3K miles ive driven the car, ive done maybe 5 burnouts at the track (short 1st gear ones) and ive peeled out from 2.. yes 2 stop signs.
i have an appoitment at the track on April 24th, and after that, i may be interested in selling them to someone if i can find the right person
(after the track,, well, actually before, i want some tires that are cheap as hell that i can burn up at stop lights and not cringe about the rubber)
if you think you could be interested, pm me,,but like i said, it wouldnt be till april 25th

^^ Yeah I've decided not to even waste the money on a TB/Plenum now and just put that money toward my S/C that I want. I live in California so I would just get hassled for it anyway. I've made it my personal goal to get my car hauling *** making around 400RWHP while being completely CARB legal. So when the california communist po-po pull me over I can show them my 400RWHP dyno-sheet then be like she's all legal bitches. Then drive away with a huge grin on my face!
