Default Dyno Tune... Si or No?

I recently got the SCT X-CAL 1 and the power increase was night and day, but the driveability sucks! My and my tuner are still trying to figure out why my car is idling weird as well as why my RPM's have a hard time falling twards idle inbetween shifts and during revs.

My question is should I return that sucker and just take it to get a custom dyno tune? That's what I feel like I should be doing. I know if I take it there they'll make sure my driveability is not sacrificed and I know the power increase will be unbeleiveable. But it's $500 bucks compared to the $300 for the X-CAL :sady:

Is it worth it to go the extra $200 and get it done? I need a good amount of opinions before I decide because I'm torn.

From the mods I see listed I have no idea why you would need either of the two. Sounds like a waste of $300/$500 to me.

Howcome? The power increase was night and day with the X-CAL, I'm just having drivability problems...

But I was also thinking if I return the X-CAL I might get some GMS U/L CA's, Subframes & Nittos. Would I see a 13 if I took it w/ the mods listed in my sig (minus the X-CAL) and the mods I just stated? I was a 14.5 @ 95 w/ a 2.166 60' w/o 4:10's on street tires. So if you add the 4:10's and the mods above would I see a 13?

Going by your previous time and 60', you COULD be in the 13s. With the CAs, drag radials, and subframes you should be able to cut a 1.8 60'. Rule of thumb is every tenth off of your 60 is 2 tenths off your quarter time. Assuming you cut that 1.8 then you should see 13.8-13.9 as long as you drive it damn near perfect.
