Mines the same way, but I only drink milk and water. So I never use the cupholders anyway, the only thing it holds is my sunglasses that I use for driving in sun glaring weather. Where can I get the little thing for holding my change? lol

For some reason I'm thinking that I saw a rubber insert that fits in there perfectly.


I have a 99 as well and have also mastered 1 handed driving.

From Ford, let me go look at the part number It'll probably be under $25... The change cup is awesome.

quit ur whinin i dont even have cup holders in my car its a fox but u shoudl be thankful lol j/k i had a similer problem in my 00 that i had i just always got drinks in the platic bottles so i can put the cap on it ya kno like i fi went to mcds i woudl just get the sammich and freis then go to 71 2 min from there and get a 20 oz coke

That's exactly what I've had to resort to - bottled beverages. My cupholder has become the space between my seat and door panel ... that seems to fit a bottle no problem. I repeat ... WHAT THE CRAP, FORD?

Just put the passenger seat back all the way and cups fit between the legspace

Wow that's weird, is that really a gap on the side? My 03's was not real secure for cups even though it was solid on all sides, so I got this:

Now things fit in nice 'n tight - it feels rubberized inside or something. Don't know how it would work w/ yours though, maybe get the black insert mentioned earlier and dress it up with this for fun.

i think.....i might be wrong ...but i think they went with different cupholders in 01 cause my buddy has different ones...but i feel ur pain i got a 99 also.
