Well i bought mine without cats in my SLP X-pipe. All it had were 12 inch long blanks to fill where they removed the high-flow cats. IMO it sounded pretty good, was really loud, and was probably twice as loud inside as with the stock mid-pipe. The minute i started it up with the brand new cats i put on, for some reason it sounded like a Borla exhaust (don't know why) until i drove it around a little. It was also quietER inside (still loud, i like it) but still very loud on the outside.
EDIT: I would also recommend getting the Catted X, it has a very nice and toned loud sound to it, and you will also be sure to have sufficient backpressure. It's kind of fun sneaking around with mine now too, under 2000 RPM's i can cruise right by cops and they can't even hear the car. Over 2000 rpm's, and it's just a loud, in your face sound...just to show them fairy rice-boys whos boss when you blow by them.

I will be able to tell you just how good and loud it sounds this Tuesday! Setup is in my sig.
And just so you ALL know, Closer9 had both a o/r H and an o/r X and he said that the H PIPE is MUCH raspier and poppy than the X.
All this talk about the X being ridiculously raspy and annoying is garbage. Im sure it is raspy, and I will know for sure tuesday, but I heard the H is much much worse and sounds horrific at high RPMs.

i have a SLP LM1 with a MAC prochamber -no cats- let me tell you its loud as hell, but DOES NOT DRONE, its very calm inside the cabin but when you crack the throttle open you know its there, and with the windows down the sound is utterly deffening under WOT.
if i did it all over again i would do a SLP catted X only reason i went catless is because my friend went with a different setup on his cobra so i got his prochamber never used for free, cant beat that, and i figured if it was to loud i would sell it for a catted X, or see what im going to do around my inspection time.
